MRI JUNE 10, 2026 QC OPEN WORKSHOP
  • Mississippi River Institute Date: June, 10, 2026 Location: East Moline, IL

Thank you for your interest in joining Living Lands & Waters in our newest floating classroom - the Mississippi River Institute (MRI)!
  • Before you sign up for the workshop, please review the following:

    • This Workforce Development Workshop highlights a range of river-related careers, with a strong focus on barge transportation, skilled trades, and environmental work. It’s a great fit for anyone curious about hands-on, nontraditional career paths.
    • Participants must be between the ages of 15 and 25.
    • We’re aiming for a group of 20 young adults. If the workshop fills up, you’ll be added to a waiting list.
    • We strive to make this experience as accessible as possible. Please let us know in advance if you require any accommodations or special assistance, and we’ll do our best to support your participation.
    • All participants are required to complete a waiver prior to the workshop. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign. Waivers will be sent in a separate email.
    • And as always, the river calls the shots. If flooding or severe weather occurs, the workshop may be canceled.
